Poetry Reading and Book Signing by Don Barkin

Poet Don Barkin will read and sign copies of his new book, The Persistent. Books will be available for purchase.
Don Barkin has published poems in Poetry, The Virginia Quarterly Review, and other magazines. A full-length collection of his poems, That Dark Lake, published by Antrim House in 2009, was a finalist for the Connecticut Center for the Book’s Poetry Book of the Year award. He has twice been awarded artist grants by the State of Connecticut. He is a former newspaper reporter and was educated at Harvard and Cambridge universities. He has taught writing at Yale, Wesleyan, and Connecticut College. He lives in Westville with his wife, Maggie, and daughter, Eve, and teaches high school in Woodbridge.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments.
